Product Listings and Descriptions (call or E-mail us for a complete catalog and description of our products) Aqueous Additives for Inks and Coatings AC-405 Resolubility aid: a blend of FDA acceptable surfactants that increases open time on cylinders and plates. Use at 3% - 5% levels.
AC-407 Resolubility aid: similar to AC-405, but much lower in VOC's.
AC-420 Leveling Agent: increase the leveling/flow of coatings or inks. Overcome print quality problems associated with many defoamers. Effective as a rheology modifier to increase viscosity in inks or coatings. use at 0.5% to 5% per need.
AC-430 Universal leveling agent: Similar to AC-420, but easier to incorporate into inks and coatings. Use at 1% - 3% levels.
AC-435 Non-Ionic Surfactant: a special blend of surfactants at a 70% level. Used to stabilize rheology of specific red pigments. Also helps stabilize rheology when used in conjunction with zinc complex additives. Use at 0.5% to 2%.
AC-440 Penetration Promoter: a surfactant system that promotes adhesion and ink penetration on coated substrates, as well as uncoated. Accelerates dry times of inks by improving inward penetration of the substrate. Use at 3% to 5% levels.
AC-500 Transfer Additive Concentrate: the concentrated version of our AC-505, generally used at a 0.5% level. A rheology modifier to enhance pigment/vehicle transfer, carrying up more ink/coating to the substrate. Used to make AC-505.
AC-503 / AC-504 Print Booster: AC-503 is a simple surface chemistry compound imparting improved transfer in ink and coating systems. Use at 0.25% to 1.0% AC-504 is a glycol- protected system imparting transfer in complex polymer formulations.
AC-505 Non-Misting Transfer Aid: a unique, hybrid rheology modifier allowing a wide latitude in pigment levels in ink systems. Used at 0.5 to 1% levels.
AC-507 Aqueous Plasticizer: a water-borne plasticizer coalescing agent at a 70% ingredient level. Formulated to improve film forming properties, offer "humectant" properties (which aids in reducing paper curl) . Used in the 2% to 5% range, dependent on the polymer system tolerance.
AC-823 Anti-Foam - Micro-Bubble Additive: a unique emulsion of hydrophobic solids, emulsifying agents, and polysiloxanes in water. Offers both anti-foam and de-foaming properties. Minimal gloss impact. Use at 0.05% to 0.5% levels.
AC-827 AntiFoam: FDA acceptable ingredients for many Title 21 sections (175.105, 176.170, 176.180, 176.200 and 176.210). Excellent for grinding process or in-situ processing where shear is present.. Not suitable as a presside/post-add defoamer. Safe for photopolymer use. Use at 0.25% to 0.75%.
AC-843 Defoamer: a proprietary blend of esters, hydrophobic solids and emulsifying agents in water. Also effective as an anti-foam additive. FDA acceptable under 21 CFR 175.105, 176.200, and 176.210.Safe for photopolymer use. Use at 0.25% to 1.0% levels.
AC-409 Metallic Vehicle: a stable vehicle for use with aluminum and bronze pigments. Tolerates a wide pigment load, with excellent rub properties.
AC-930 Polyethylene Wax Emulsion: to improve rub and mar resistance in inks and coatings. A 35% TNV, non ionic, high density poly emulsion, it can be used at levels up to 10% without significant gloss reduction in coatings.
